Our Story

Our Budding Love

In early 2021, as the fog of a global pandemic was lifting, a new love was formed. Nolan and Sophia met each other over the dating app, Hinge (the dating app that's meant to be deleted (spoiler alert: it was deleted very quickly)). Other than Sophia's striking beauty and cunning wit, Sophia's dog, Finley, lured Nolan in. For Sophia, it was that cute Colorado boy flavor that brought her to the table. Despite the two living 2 hours apart (Sophia in Gypsum and Nolan in Grand Junction) things progressed quickly and the two started making trips almost every weekend to see each other. Sophia would come down to Grand Junction to ride bikes, float the Colorado river, or scramble about the desert and Nolan headed upstream to Gypsum to breathe cool mountain air, ski at Vail or Beaver Creek, or go to concerts at the Ford Ampitheater.

The two were getting quite used to traveling across Colorado to see each other when disaster struck, a landslide in Glenwood Canyon blocked i70 indefinitely. Would the young love be able to persevere through this infrastructural plight? (Spoiler Alert: Oh yea they would). Masquerading as essential frieght haulers, the two utilized Cottonwood pass to keep the flame alight. As their bond grew stronger, the gravity of their love brought the two into the same home. Sophia moved in with Nolan and she brought her job and sweet Finley with her. Nine months later, the two came home with another baby boy, his name was Leo and he was a beautiful short haired rescue dog. Within 15 months, Nolan's bachelor pad became home to a budding family of four, and sometimes six (shoutout Ali & Anabelle). Months turned into years as the couple explored new places and hobbies together. Friends turned into family, and on one beautiful April day, a girlfriend and boyfriend turned into fiance's. Promising to steer the ship together and sail off into the sunset.
